1.Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Comply with NRC’s HR policies and procedures
- Assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures at field office level
- Generate monthly records and reports such as staff lists, leave and other HR statistics
- In coordination Amman HR, provide staff support and care for NRC medical cover and insurance
- Support staff training and development
Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain time sheets for all staff based at the field locationRecord, leave days, sick days and all other absence, and regularly submit to HR Amman
- Assist in Administration matters related to HR
- Participate in field coordination meeting and provide messaging from Amman HR to field staff
- Assist with field level training as required
- Record all field level training events and submit to Amman HR
- In cooperation with Amman level HR support field level interviewing
- Collect an records staff development plans and submit to HR Amman
- Ensure organograms/ structure information is provided to Amman HR

The German Red Cross (GRC) is a humanitarian organization working in Jordan from 2007 - 2009 and again since 2013. Together with our partner organization, the Jordan Red Crescent Society, we implement various projects for Syrian refugees in Jordan and vulnerable host communities. The German Red Cross is part of the Red Cross / Red Crescent Movement under the umbrella of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
 
1. OBJECTIVES
- To support the German Red Cross (GRC) Delegation in all task related to beneficiary communication, monitoring in order to facilitate the a two way communication with beneficiary and communities and hence improve the quality of the GRC projects in Jordn
- To set up, maintain a database for GRC/JRCS projects and generate regular reports
- Support the project team with set up questionnaires in Open Data Kit

2. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Beneficiary Communication:
- Take care of complaint hotline
- Develop service guide and SOP for complaint hotline
- Develop and monitor beneficiary communication strategy
- Support project team with monitoring activities
 
Database:
- Set up of databases
- Maintain and feed database with information on assistance received
- Build questionnaires for Open Data Kit Software
- Analyze collected information from ODK such as Post Distribution Monitoring Forms
- Aggregate weekly reports from the database
- Increase security on data management and confidentiality within GRC
 
General:
- To produce regular reports and statistics on a weekly, monthly basis, as required
- Support delegate as translator/interpreter when required
- Other tasks may be assigned as required

WPE Officer - Community Worker - IRC International Rescue committee

SCOPE OF WORK

The WPE Officer - Community Worker (CW) will be responsible for working with the WPE IRC staff, including social workers and psychologists based in the clinics and wellness centers, the mobile social worker team, IRC volunteers, service providers, partners, local authorities and community leaders engaged in GBV prevention and response. S/He will take a lead role in identifying and mapping local partners and key community resource persons at the start of the project, including INGOs, NGOs, CBOs, local authorities, community leaders and women’s groups that will promote the prevention of GBV. S/he will also lead the design and rollout of information and awareness sessions on GBV basic concepts and available response services in particular in close collaboration with identified Child Friendly Spaces and Schools targeting children above 12 years of age, parents, teachers, school counselors and social workers. S/He will support the start up of implementation of quality mobile case management in the outskirts of Irbid/Ramtha/Mafraq ensuring that the program meets the best practices.
The position is based in Mafraq or Ramtha or Irbid. The WPE Officer - Community worker reports to the Senior Community Outreach.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Establish Workplan to ensure proper start up of the project in accordance with the donor expectations and standards.

-Work closely with the community outreach team, the Senior Community worker and the WPE program manager to continuously design and adapt the Community outreach and mobilization strategy
Conduct initial assessment and service mapping in the targeted locations to ensure design and implementation of adequate services and coordination with other international and national actors.

-Conduct initial assessments and community mapping to identify key CBOs, community leaders and potential women’s groups or other community initiatives supporting vulnerable women and girls
Conduct regular awareness raising sessions in Child friendly Spaces and schools initially identified and work closely with children, parents, teachers, schools counselors and social workers.

-Raise awareness on the SOP referral pathway for GBV services based on the needs assessment and capacity assessment of potential partners.

-Support and lead trainings on GBV basic concepts, risk identification and mitigation, SOPs and referral pathway.

-Ensure the establishment and maintenance of effective engagement with communities and with local government partners, to ensure responsive and sustainable programming.

-Support the roll out of referral pathway/SOPs with program partners.

-Assist in Trainings of Trainers for IRC and partners
Assist in the development of IRC and interagency training materials.

-Assist Community leaders and service providers in implementing prevention mechanisms within their functions.

-Work closely with the senior community outreach officer, the communication department and the WPE program manager to develop effective Information, Education and Communication tools.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationship between IRC and other partners.

-Provide weekly updates and monthly reports on the progress of implementation.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Ensure the readiness of Sales equipment and devices before visiting the market, this includes: Handheld battery, uploading bonus reports, collection reports and collection vouchers.

- Follow-up with the Merchandizing supervisor on issues related to shelves shortages, organization, pricing, and promotions, and the availability of Merchandisers upon delivering orders.  
- Attain Customers’ approvals on monthly promotions through submitting barcodes, samples and prices, and check the sales of promotions in next visits. 
- Sign monthly investment contracts with Customers to cover monthly priorities and promotions, submit such to direct supervisor to follow up on the implementation in coordination with the Merchandizing supervisor.

Generic responsibilities
· Participates in the review of new funding opportunities by screening calls for proposals
· Assist PD in donor mapping and identifying new initiatives to undertake in line with the screening process of call for proposals

Assist in coordination of proposal development and report write-up process by sharing the relevant donor guidelines and templates and compiling information from different departments
Reviews proposals/reports for compliance and consistency and consolidates them prior to submission
Responsible for Jordan Activity Info reporting on Jordan response
Focal point for compiling project information for MoPIC submissions
 
Specific responsibilities
· Help organizing grant opening and closing meetings to kick off implementation and Start-Up-Meeting (SUM) to initiate new/renewal of applications (including minute taking)
· Establishes and maintains in-country filing system in line with NRC standards
· Maintains proposal development and reporting calendar (Grants Overview table) and send timely notifications to project managers on upcoming deadlines
· Take Program Meeting Minutes and files them on server
· Prepare sample texts of context analysis as well as other cross-cutting issues
· Focal point for all programme specific training opportunities for staff
· Keep abreast of all NRC Jordan program activities and assist PD in mapping other stakeholders
· Perform any other tasks in relation to programmes as delegated by Program Director

RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Quality
-Plan and implement IRC communications and mass-information campaigns.
-Implement and monitor the delivery of the communications and media strategies and plans.
-Develop, package and disseminate situation reports, information materials and other communication materials needed for humanitarian response.
-Work with program teams to collect project information from e.g. partners, media, and external stakeholders.
-Review all publications and field visibility produced by the organization to ensure that the IRC branding and communication guidelines are uniformly and consistently followed across the country program as well as in line with donor guidelines.
-Conceptualize, develop and package various information materials on IRC’s work for communications and/or advocacy purposes (e.g. brochures, briefing kits, videos, informational material...).
-Act as a resource person for programs requesting trainings for staff and partners.
-Support program staff in improvements of internal and programmatic communications, such as finding creative ways of information dissemination in program locations (audio and video tutorials for beneficiaries and new hires, improvement of waiting areas in program locations through better and more creative information dissemination etc.).
-Support program staff in preparing and researching internal and external presentations.
-Design and implement creative approaches to participatory advocacy and communications projects with beneficiaries.
-Plan and implement creative communications events in the field (arts and crafts workshops with beneficiaries, stop motion animations workshops etc.).
-Design and implement information/data collection tools to better understand program audiences and beneficiaries.
-Monitor and evaluate ongoing
communication campaigns to improve future delivery.
Coordination and Liaison
-Liaise and maintain contact with Regional and Head Offices (US and UK) in implementing communication activities.
-Conceptualize, design, post in, and coordinate with HQ (both US and UK) on the social media platform (i.e., twitter and Facebook, intra/extranet).
-Work closely with SRR Media Officer to present IRC experiences in communications and media work in local, national and international forums.
-Liaise and vet journalists as well as liaise with and prepare field staff and beneficiaries for upcoming media visits.
-Liaise with other agencies on inter-agency communications and mass information campaigns, as well as plan and implement campaigns.
-Represent the IRC in inter-agency meetings related to communications and public relations.
-Liaise with donors on IRC and donor visibility and communications outputs in the field and for broader audience.
Supervisory
-Supervise Communication and Information Assistant.
-Supervise and/or coordinate with interns, volunteers and consultants/service providers that may be assigned to do communications and media work, ensuring competencies and outputs meet the program’s demands and expectations.
-Build capacity of IRC staff in relation to communications and media through the development of guidelines, training materials and projects, and briefing staff on campaign objectives and messages.
Resource Management
-Draw up budgets for communications and media work and activities, manage spending within budgets, and provide justifications for variances to the finance department if needed.
-Perform other tasks consistent with the position roles and responsibilities as may be requested from time to time by his/her supervisor.
