About CRP: Collateral Repair Project is a grassroots effort to bring much-needed assistance to refugees and other victims of war and conflict - those commonly referred to as "collateral damage". We seek to repair some of this damage and, through these efforts, foster peace and reconciliation. We are located in Amman, Jordan - temporary home to hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian refugees. Beneficiaries in our community can attend a variety of educational and community-building activities in the center, including English and computer classes, yoga and self-care sessions, a children’s after school club, and more.
Job Description:
The Education Specialist is responsible for all CRP’s youth education activities including but not limited to;
• Implementing and managing an enriched after school program focusing on literacy, numeracy, interpersonal skills, healing and wellness, training program
• Deliver training to program volunteers, teen leaders and supporting staff
• Lead parent engagement sessions at the CRP community center designed to help parents understand the importance of enrolling their children in the formal school system
• Work closely with local schools, parents and community leaders to monitor progress of back to school program
• Partner with local organizations creating a referral pathway for out-of school teens ages 13-18 who are not able to enroll in the formal school system
• Developing a comprehensive, child focused literacy center
• Develop program curicculum and activities for Teen Group
• Responsible for all youth programming at CRP
• Represents CRP at UN working groups and forums
• Monitoring and evaluation of success of youth programs and assessment activities to identify beneficiary needs
• Other duties as assigned
