Background

The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. Inside Syria, 7.6 million people are internally displaced and 12.2 million are in need of humanitarian assistance, with 4.8 million in hard-to-reach areas. There are 3.8 million Syrian refugees in neighboring countries. This is no short-term humanitarian episode. The devastating human consequences to huge numbers of people will endure for decades. The destruction of relationships, communities, livelihoods, homes and infrastructure will take years to repair.
IRC is offering a robust humanitarian response to the Syria crisis with an annual budget in excess of $140 million and a rapidly expanding portfolio, supported by more than 1,250 staff in the region. IRC is undertaking programs in Syria and the neighboring countries of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of health, child protection, education, women’s protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, water and sanitation, and livelihood programming. Job Overview/Summary: Reporting to Sr. Field Coordinator based in Turkey, the Supply Chain/Procurement Officer is responsible for facilitating and following up on all procurement and Supply Chain activities in Northern Syria in close coordination with SC Coordinator in Amman and Supply Chain staff based in Northern Syria (3 field sites). The Supply Chain/Procurement Officer must be able to rapidly procure program and operation supplies, services and equipment, via his counterparts in Syria whilst ensuring best practices and maintaining audit-compliant records

The Area Manager is an ambassador for the business and brands, responsible for the overall operations and customer experience of a number of restaurants. The role involves maintaining a high level of visibility in the assigned restaurants. The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring staff training, store standards, financial and food quality metrics are achieved throughout the restaurants. Utilizes the sales and marketing plan as the basis for setting customer service goals to improve sales through increased customer traffic and average spend. The area manager will make decisions regarding the recruitment, development, and performance of staff. Plans and monitors budget and ensures Supervisors adhere to these budgets.

Operational:
• To carry out regular visits, both announced and unannounced, in order to audit compliance with legislative and Company requirements and to monitor customer service and food quality standards.
• Utilize the Monthly Evaluation Report and Regular Visit Report templates during the above audits. Audits to be completed during varying trading times and AM to be present during opening and closing of the stores as per their monthly calendar.
• Exercise awareness of loss prevention standards and enforce within his stores. Ensure compliance with company standards and documentation requirements to minimize loss and abuse of company assets such as cash and stock. Work with Loss Prevention / HR department to investigate and take action against misbehavior.
• Understand the competitor environment in which the store operates and seek out opportunities where appropriate. Feedback to the business on ideas which will generate revenue and tackle competitor activity.
• Appraise the performance of all store staff using the annual performance appraisal process and on an ongoing basis as required, such as during renewal time. Use the performance management process and Personal Improvement Plan documents to raise standards of under performers. Execute the disciplinary process where required.
Financial:
• To contribute to the development and agreement of restaurant budgets and forecasts.
• To monitor sites and units revenues and costs against budget or forecast on a weekly basis and to instruct remedial action when required. Develop action plans using SMART objective methodology to achieve defined goals.
• To monitor, and ensure the accuracy of, financial information and to liaise with the Accounts Department to reconcile any problems. Minimize cash excess/shorts at store level and use of voids to within tolerance level.
• To deliver the sales, profit and margins required by the area budget or forecast.
Quality:
• To conduct regular food quality audits in all stores and to take prompt and effective remedial action to ensure that the restaurants are operating well above the minimum requirements of the brand and Company.
• The Area Manager will be responsible for conducting new product training within the area and ensure successful launches. Track any issues which may arise and feedback to the relevant department.
• To liaise with the Training coordinator to ensure that each restaurant receives a suitable level of training support quarterly and meets the requirements set by the brand and Company.

The Recruitment Officer will be responsible for filling positions that vary from short-term, emergency response, and full-time needs to meet demands of donors and programs in Syria remotely. This individual will be responsible for pro-active sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. • Develop a detailed work plan and assessment tools for collecting needed data and analyzing existing value chains of locally grown crops, livestock, and local animal products in Quneitra and Dar’a.

• Identify opportunities for entrepreneurship that directly affect livelihoods of target communities and entry barriers for women and new entrepreneurs in these value chains
• Identify 56 community-based food security projects for implementation.
• Provide guidance for local agronomists (IRD Jordan staff) on developing design sheet for each project.
• Any Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
